The Buncombe County Schools Foundation is the non-profit organization created to handle both in-kind and monetary donations made to the Buncombe County School System. In addition, we host several fundraisiers during the course of the year to raise money to offset costs for programs that might not be funded otherwise.

2013 School Saver Fundraiser

Buncombe County Schools Fundraiser kicks off its county-wide fundraiser on Thursday, February 14, 2013, with the Buncombe County Schools Saver Card. The card offers discounts with local businesses and can easily pay for itself with just one use!

2012 Teacher of the Year

The annual Teacher of the Year banquet was held on Tuesday, September 18 at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville. Dawn Rookey, English teacher at Owen High school received the highest honor, being recognized as the 2013 BCS Teacher of the Year.
