Each year the Buncombe County Schools Foundation and the Haywood Schools Foundation jointly participate in a major fund-raiser called the School Checks Coupon Book. Last year this program, sponsored by the three Foundations, netted over $100,000 for our schools. The book is assembled in cooperation with local merchants by School Checks. The book, which sells for $15.00, contains over $900.00 in coupon savings. Best of all, $10.00 of the $15.00 stays in our local school systems.

The buyers receive a tremendous value for their money; the schools have a no-risk, easy way to raise much needed money to use at their discretion; and the merchants experience increased traffic in their establishments, free advertising, and the satisfaction of knowing that they are supporting their local schools.
